Valentine's Day Promotions, Incentives & Creative

With Valentine's Day drawing nearer, now is the time to prepare for all the lovely Valentine's Day promotions going on. San Francisco, California | January 21-22, 2009
LinkShare Symposium West 2009
A team from the UK network will be attending Symposium West this week, 21st and 22nd January in San Francisco. Congratulations to Arabella at The Good Web Guide who won a free trip as the star prize in our recent Christmas Competition!

We're looking forward to the event, some highlights of which will be the results of the new LinkShare e-commerce online consumer study with Penn, Schoen & Berland as well as hearing Bill Tancer on the implications of the economic environment on affiliate marketing. Leveraging New Year's Resolutions in the LinkShare Network

While a lot of retailers consider Q4 to be the months where they see the most sales, there are a number of Advertisers in the LinkShare Network that see a significant lift in revenues during Q1. Health and Fitness Advertisers see a spike in sales as they cater to consumers who want to make a change in the new year. Weight loss, vitamins and work-out products all perform well during this time.	Historically within the Beauty vertical, January is one of the top sales months behind the Q4 holiday shopping period. The beauty category is predicted to be negatively impacted by the down economy, however in the LinkShare network we have seen strong growth YOY in all months of 2008.

Inside the Publisher Dashboard How To Contact Advertisers Through the LinkShare Publisher Dashboard To contact an advertiser whose program you participate in: Click on Messages in the main navigation area. Click Compose a Message. Select the advertiser’s name from the drop-down menu, and type a subject and message, and then click Send. Please note that you can only email one advertiser at a time through your LinkShare publisher account. How To Update Your Account Information It is a great time of the year to make sure your account information is up-to-date. To update account information, including account address, Email, password, payment information, tax information, and VAT ID (if you are VAT registered), go to My Account and click Edit next to the section you would like to change.

WordPress Plug-in LinkShare Link Lookup Are you a WordPress user? If you are, then you can take advantage of a new plug-in for WordPress users called LinkShare Link Lookup. For those of you who are not familiar with WordPress, it is a free web publishing platform. With Link Lookup you can do two things to help you earn revenue on your WordPress site, directly from the posting page. Create deep links – enter a URL on an advertiser site, and get back a tracking link with your id Search for product links – search across all your advertisers or a specific advertiser for a product link, and then click and drag that product link directly into the post Here's the quick guide to getting started: Download LinkShare Link Lookup Upload the files to your WordPress directory Activate the plug-in Enter your token in the Settings page Expand the plug-in on the post page and start earning!
