New Publisher Dashboard: The Reviews Are In!
“ …the new LinkShare Publisher Dashboard is a terrific upgrade from the existing interface.” – Sam Harrelson, Revenews blog

On February 21st, LinkShare introduced the all new Publisher Dashboard. Since that time we've reading and hearing some great feedback. Thanks to all the Publishers who have commented thus far we're thrilled at the response. Your time and enthusiasm in viewing the Guided Tour and using the new interface during its pilot phase is greatly appreciated. Your feedback is also invaluable in helping us fine-tune the final release as well as plan for the future.

If you have not had a chance to check out the new Publisher Dashboard you may have noticed that on the login page you now have a choice to login to the Traditional Interface or the new Publisher Dashboard. All your account information is in both places. You'll have access to both interfaces over the next few months to give you some time to learn your way around the new interface.

Overview
Your new Publisher Dashboard provides easy access to all your information, plus tools to manage your account and analyze your results. Thanks to a development process that included publishers along the way, you'll find all your account information available in a friendly, new structure plus some significant new features and enhancements.

Technology Innovation that Drives Results

As an industry leading provider of online marketing services, innovation is one of our key operating principles. Our commitment to Research and Development combined with the passionate feedback we hear from Publishers like you has lead to new ideas and solutions that will provide a more engaging shopping experience for customers and help you build strong, profitable relationships with Advertisers.

We know how busy you are as a Publisher so we wanted to take a moment to remind you of a few newer technologies available through the LinkShare Network. These new technologies are now being implemented by Advertisers and can help you drive more sales and commissions as well as help you build and sustain a loyal consumer following.

Mobile Links
More and more consumers are shopping using mobile devices. To take advantage of this trend, forward-looking Publishers may be thinking about designing or making changes to their site to accommodate mobile shopping. LinkShare is bringing Advertisers and Publishers together in the world of m-Commerce by offering Mobile Links which is a technology that enables the tracking of commerce on cell-phones and other devices. Advertisers such as 1-800-Flowers are now integrating Mobile links into their program offering Publishers new ways to reach customers.

Flex Links
Studies have shown that richer more interactive content can lead to increases in conversion to sale. That's why LinkShare developed Flex Links which allows Advertisers and Publishers to implement tracking links through rich content including Video, Widgets, Flash, and Javascript. Announced just a few weeks ago several Advertisers have immediately seen the value in this technology and are implementing Flex Links today.

When an advertiser implements Flex Links you'll see them as an available link type in the Advertiser's program and you can cut and paste the link site just like any other link. Below are some examples of ways in which Advertisers are using Flex Links to create rich interactive link types for Publishers who can then offer a more engaging experience to potential customers.

  • Orbitz: Interactive Flash game with a promotional link.

  • Beatport: Music player widget displaying links to most popular songs.

  • ShopNBC: Video flex link featuring popular host Jim Skelton talking about popular watches (One of many different product videos offered by ShopNBC).

  • Blinds.com: How-to videos for blind installation in the home.

  • Tiger Direct: Flash product widgets where users can navigate through their products within the actual widget. This was built using a product feed.

  • Ice.com: Video widgets where you can show multiple products in one widget, get detailed product information, view photos and purchase Ice.com products.
