| Using the Sales and Activity Report
You can track each Publisher's activity by using the Sales and Activity Report. In this comprehensive report you can view each Publisher's number of impressions and click-throughs, the amounts generated in sales and commissions, and more. Drill down several layers to analyze the effectiveness of the link types each of your Publishers use, the type of products sold, and the daily activity on your Publishers' sites.
You can access this report in the Reporting Controls in the Advertiser Interface or under the Traditional Reports folder in Synergy Analytics.
With this report you can:
• View your Publisher’ sales and activity in terms of how many impressions and click-throughs they have generated; the percentage of click-throughs per impression (C/I%); the number of orders, items, and canceled items they have generated; the number of orders per click-through (O/C%); the amount in sales generated; and the amount in commissions generated.
• Click any of the subjects in the top row of the chart to sort the report according to that subject: ID, Affiliate Name, Impressions, Click-Throughs, C/I (click-throughs per impression), # of Orders, # of Items, # of Items Canceled, O/C (orders per click-through), Sales, and Commissions.
For example, when you click Impressions, the report will list Publishers in descending order beginning with the Publisher that has generated the most impressions. When you click Sales, the report will list Publisher in descending order beginning with the Publisher that has generated the greatest amount of money in sales.
• Drill down for a detailed look at the activity of specific Publishers according to "Affiliate," "Link type," "Product," or "Day." Choose one of these options from the "Drill Down by" menu, then click the ID number of a specific Publisher.
• For example, when you choose "Day" from the drop-down menu and click on a Publisher’s ID number, a new screen will appear with a chart tracking the daily activity on the Publisher’s site during the reporting period. When you choose "Link Type" from the drop-down menu and click on a Publisher’s ID number, a new screen will appear with a chart listing all of your link types and the activity they have generated on the Publisher's site.
Tip: You can use this option to drill down to a specific text or banner link, just as in the Link Type report for all publishers. This allows you to see what links are generating the most success for specific publishers. A thorough analysis of your top performers can lead to surprising results, such as different links generating different levels of success across your top performers.
• View 20 Publishers per page. Click Next 20 or Previous 20 at the bottom of the chart to view the next or previous set of 20 Publishers. You can also type a single number within the range of Publishers in the "View" box and click the Go button to jump to that point in the list.
• View a profile of each Publisher. Just click on the Publisher's name to review a Publisher’s characteristics. Included in the profile are the category(ies) in which you have placed the Publisher; the site's URL; the Publisher’s Username; and a contact's name, phone number, fax, and email address.
• View the Report Totals at the bottom of the chart.
• Download the report as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet by clicking DOWNLOAD THIS REPORT at the bottom of the chart.
Tip: The Sales & Activity Report only displays Publishers with at least 1 impression, or at least 1 click, or at least 1 transaction (item/order). The report will not display any Publishers without at least a value of 1 in any of these fields. This rule holds even if you use the filter to exclude sites with over 0 impressions, sales, or clicks, because we may still display those with 1 impression or sale or click in this report. |
