Real-Time Reporting Web Service

On January 13th we’ll be releasing a new Web Service that enables publishers to get near Real-Time reporting data over the browser. This is a key request from the more technical savvy search publishers that want to automate reporting to optimize their search marketing campaigns. In order to offer real-time reporting data to your partners, it is required that you install a light-weight pixel to your checkout page.

This Near Real-Time reporting upgrade provides your partners with a near real-time, directional snapshot of clicks, impressions, products and estimated commissions in their reporting dashboard or via data feed. Your LinkShare tracking will continue to provide the final accounting of actual commissionable events, commissions earned, cancellations and returns. LinkShare Near Real-Time Reporting is a free upgrade and requires a simple pixel-based installation. The skills required to implement Near Real-Time reporting include some basic knowledge of Web Services technology and XML. On average, it should take in total about 3 hours to install and test Near Real-Time reporting, and it does not require any interruption of service.

Link Lookup WordPress plug-in

LinkShare Link Lookup is a new WordPress plug-in. Many web publishers use WordPress to create and maintain their website. WordPress allows 3rd party plug-ins to integrate with their publisher interface.

LinkShare Link Lookup enables WordPress users to do two things - First, take a URL on an advertiser site and convert that into a LinkShare tracking link. Second, search for individual product links in an advertisers product feed and integrate these links with their post.

A few important things to note: In order to offer the deep link capability in Link Lookup, you must be enabled for LinkBuilder. In order to offer product search, you’ll need to have a LinkShare Merchandiser file. We hope that this will make it easier for WordPress users to integrate LinkShare tracking links into their websites.
