LinkShare
Flex Links Implementation Guidelines

Overview
A Flex Link is a structure that allows you to incorporate LinkShare click links into Flash objects, JavaScript, and other containers. It will appear in your account under Links/Merchandising. A Flex Link is not a video hosting program for uploading .wmv, .asf, .mov, or .swf files to the interface. It is also not a system for creating a clickable video.

Parameters
LSNTRACK is a parameter that enables LinkShare to pass a landing page URL to a publisher. It is a required parameter in the link and can be up to 2,000 characters in length with no spaces.

Individual parameters can also be used for a click link. Here are the tokens for those parameters:

[lsn_eid] is used to get an affiliate's encrypted ID or EID.
[lsn_oid] is used to get an affiliate's participating offer ID (in OID format).
[lsn_vid] is used to get the creative ID (video creative ID).

These parameters are optional.

Implementation Details
To create a Flex Link, you must redirect to a landing page with a static URL. This URL can be embedded in the [LSNTRACK=] token: [LSNTRACK=http://www.linkshare.com/]. The LinkShare system converts this token to a LinkShare click link, such as http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=XXXXXXXXXXX&offerid=11111.11111111&type=13&subid=0

If you use a clickable Flash movie to send users to a page on your Web site, this movie can extract the LinkShare click URL that we have substituted for the [LSNTRACK=] token.

If you are using JavaScript code to create a clickable image or text that redirects users to a page on your Web site, this code can extract the LinkShare click URL that we have substituted for the [LSNTRACK=] token.

Publisher Distribution
Publishers will be able to copy the code for the video link from their user interface and put it on their Web Sites. Flex Links are able to support LinkShare’s Signature technology for your loyalty publishers.
