Linkbuilder - Make Linking Easier for Your Publishers

Linkbuilder is a LinkShare tool that allows publishers to easily create a LinkShare tracking link to any page or product on your site. It is a tool that publishers are looking for more and more.

Publishers like Linkbuilder because it makes it easier for them to promote your full range of products, and gives them more flexibility. It’s also what a lot of the Web 2.0 sites are gearing towards. It makes it easier for content sites to match their content with the right product, and promote the long tail. Ultimately this could lead to more sales for your affiliate marketing program!

Linkbuilder is easy to get set-up. Simply go into the Individual Product Links section in the Advertiser Interface and check the box next to this text – “Enable affiliate to browse your merchant website. Note: this feature may require additional programming. Please contact your LinkShare Representative for more information before checking this selection.”

Make sure to hit the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen after you’ve checked the box. *It is very important you confirm with your primary LinkShare contact that you’re technical specifications with LinkShare allow for Linkbuilder to be easily activated.*

Once Linkbuilder is activated, publishers will see an option in their LinkShare Interface to browse your site and link to a particular product. This selection can be found in the Individual Product link type area of the Publisher Interface. It’s also a good idea to send publishers a brief email letting them know that you’ve activated this feature.
