Affiliate Interface Direct Links
The following provides a series of URL templates for various destination points in the affiliate interface. These URL's will enable Merchants to send links that direct affiliates to specific areas in the affiliate interface, such as their Create Links tab.

How it works:
If an affiliate is in their account, and clicks on the URL from the body of the merchant email, they will automatically be sent to the specified destination point in their affiliate account. If the affiliate is not logged into their account, they will be sent to an interim login screen, then automatically sent to the destination in their account. Merchants can use these URLs in newsletters, email, or for their customer support operations.

Merchant may need to be provided with oids, link type and MID codes by their LinkShare Account Representative. However, they can also find this information in their own affiliate account linking code.

Important Notes, Tips & Tricks!

  • These direct links will work in most cases, more specifically, if the user is 1) already logged into his affiliate account, or 2) when prompted, the user logs in successfully on the first attempt.

However, it will not work correctly if the user makes a mistake logging in. The explanation is complicated, but it has to do with the URLs that are generated from our direct links vs. those URLs that are built for a login error. Because of this, you may want to provide the direct links, but also quick and simple instructions for navigation to the intended destination without use of the direct links.

  • If you have B2C and B2B programs, please be sure to send distinct emails with customized direct links to your B2C and B2B affiliates. Links that are customized with a B2C "oid" will not function properly for an affiliate who is only in the B2B, and vice versa. However, if an affiliate is in both B2C and B2B networks, the links will function properly in all cases.
