Instructions

  1. All Affiliates Must Register: All affiliates must register for a master account. Existing affiliates can will be able to continue to log-in and manage their LinkShare accounts. However, beginning in May 2005, affiliates that have not updated their registration information to obtain a master account will no longer be eligible to receive payment of commissions.
  2. What You Need to Register: If you are a U.S. tax payer you will be required to register a tax ID. This may be either a Social Security Number or a Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) depending on your situation. In addition to the tax ID, you will need to provide its associated name and address. Non-US-tax payers will not be required to provide a Taxpayer ID. Please note that the legal entity name and address that you enter will be used for payment purposes. Both U.S. and Non-U.S.-tax payers will be required to fill out the appropriate online tax forms (W-9 for U.S. Taxpayers and the W-8 for non-U.S. taxpayers.) during the registration process.
  3. What You Need to Aggregate Existing Accounts: Please note that affiliates will not be able to register more that one legal entity with the identical registration information. If you attempt to register identical information as an already registered legal entity the following notice will appear at the top of the screen after submitting the second step: "Please contact LinkShare to initiate a fraud check." You may only aggregate existing affiliate accounts that have yet not passed through the enhanced affiliate registration and management system. If you wish to aggregate an this affiliate account as a channel to an existing legal entity follow the steps below.
    1. Login to the first affiliate account that you want to register a legal entity.
    2. Go to the "Your Account" tab.
    3. Click on the "Register Legal Entity" link.
    4. Complete the legal entity registration.
    5. On the channel creation screen, select "Acquire Affiliate Channel."
    6. Enter the username and password of the affiliate account that you want to aggregate as an affiliate channel of your legal entity account.
    7. Select the "Acquire" button."
    8. If you see a confirmation screen, the affiliate account was successful added as an affiliate channel.
      • To access multiple channels, use the channel dropdown menu at the top of your screen in the Affiliate Interface. To Run Reports, Join Programs, and Create Links, you need to use the channel dropdown menu to edit or view those channels. (Please note: You will need to apply individually to each merchant for each channel.)
  4. How to Change Your Threshold: LinkShare has implemented a default commission payment threshold of $1 for all affiliates. However, if you wish to not be paid until your commission balance reaches a certain level, use the threshold setting to indicate that level. The threshold setting is found on the channel information update page. Note that each marketing channel can accommodate a different commission payment threshold.
