LinkGenerator Bookmarklet in Detail

Create Links - No Login Required!

The LinkShare LinkGenerator Bookmarklet enables you to create links to pages on an advertiser site without logging in to the Publisher Dashboard! It has the same basic functionality as our Deep Link interface.

This tool will make it easier than ever to create deep links on an advertiser site. Just input your token and you’ll be given a link that says “LinkGenerator” to drag to the toolbar on your browser. You can click the LinkGenerator link when you’re on the page of an enabled advertiser website that you have a relationship with, and it will generate a tracking link to that page.

You'll only need to do this once, and then the bookmarklet will remain on your browser. Here are the instructions:

• Step 1: Get your token from your LinkShare account on this page.
• Step 2: Paste it here:
  Token
• Step 3:
  This will turn into a link when you input a token with 64 characters. Click and drag the “LinkGenerator” text to your browser toolbar.

How to use the LinkGenerator Bookmarklet

• Step 1: Look for items by browsing through the websites of your partners. (This will only work if you’re approved by the merchant.)
• Step 2: Click on the “LinkGenerator button” that you just created on your toolbar.
• Step 3: A window with the linksynergy URL will appear. You can cut and paste it wherever you like.

When your readers click on this link, they’ll be taken that advertisers page and you’ll receive a commission when they purchase!

Please note that if you update your token in the Publisher Dashboard you need to re-install the bookmarklet as well.
