Symposium New York 2013 Recap
Rakuten LinkShare Symposium New York 2013 was a smashing success! The event, held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, was our largest ever with over 500+ attendees.
Symposium kicked off on Monday, June 17th with Jump Start Networking, where guests could reserve meeting space throughout the day to get a head start on meeting with current and future affiliate marketing partners. Also on Monday, there were educational sessions for Advertisers and for Publishers on site, in addition to our first ever API Workshop, where attendees could meet with our development team to get their technical questions answered!
The Golden Link Awards were held that evening at the Edison Ballroom, just a few blocks away from the Marriot Marquis. These awards bring together more than 350 people representing leading Advertisers, Publishers and Agencies to celebrate excellence and innovation in the performance marketing industry.
June 18th was the main day of the event and keynote speakers included Andy Hoar of Forrester Research who spoke on Key Trends And Best Practices Selling Globally Via The Affiliate Channel. Attendees received a free copy of the report, commissioned by Rakuten LinkShare. Our Dealmaker event was held in the afternoon, where guests interact with and learn more about our sponsors, who are leaders in the e-commerce and technology space.
Finally, the After Party was held at the Sky Room, as our staff and guests toasted to their continued success in affiliate marketing.
