Product Update
Announcing the Coupon Web Service and a New Tool for Twitter!

The LinkShare Coupon Web Service is a new API for you to access coupon and promotional links from your Advertisers without logging in to the Publisher Dashboard! These coupon and promotional links are compelling to consumers and therefore more likely to convert.
In order to use the Web Service you'll send a “request” to LinkShare's servers. LinkShare will then provide a "response" to the request in XML format which you can program into your site.
Here's a sample request:

Now let's dissect it - this query will send coupon and promotional link data for all the advertisers you are partnered with in network 1 who have products in category 4169 that correspond with offer-promotion type 21.
Our guidelines provide the details regarding which parameters to use. You'll include your token in every request for authentication purposes. Your token can always be found on the Web Service page in the Dashboard.
Before using the LinkShare Coupon Web Service, a Publisher must be approved. You can apply in the Publisher Dashboard here, and learn more in the Help Center here. Right now we only offer text links, but we will be adding banners in the future.
The advantage of using the LinkShare Coupon Web Service is simple – LinkShare wants to help expedite the process of getting coupon creative into the hands of Publishers because we know this creative converts into sales. The Coupon Web Service allows you to access promotional text links without logging in to the Publisher Dashboard.
Search and send product links directly to Twitter!
We've also just launched a new Bento Box feature that lets you search Advertiser product links and then send a product directly to your Twitter account – all from one place! You can see the new feature here. If you use Twitter, this gives you a way to easily recommend favorite products and earn a commission. Plus, it's kind of fun.
As usual, you'll need to be approved into an Advertiser program in order to promote their products. Happy tweeting.

If you haven't already done so, be sure to visit our Holiday Offers pages, which can be found in the Publisher Help Center under Affiliate Network/Offers and Promotions. There is also a button on LinkShare.com that will direct you to the pages.
Popular Gifts
For Advertisers that offer Individual Product Links, pick out popular gifts and link to those items. Remember that top-selling products often sell out during the holidays. You can use this to your advantage. Let your customers know that you've done the work for them in finding the sure-to-sell-out products.
Inexpensive Gifts
Again, show your consumers that you've done the work for them. You could even go so far as to create a specific page listing gifts under a certain threshold.
Free Shipping and Discount with Purchase
Since many promotions fall under these categories, consider creating themed pages based on promotion type. For a list of LinkShare Advertisers offering these promotions, please visit the Comsumer Promotions page.
Promote Gift Cards
For a list of LinkShare Advertisers that commission on gift cards, please visit our Gift Cards Commissions page. Keep in mind that this list is being updated as Advertisers submit their information, so be sure to check for updates. Also keep in mind that some Advertisers offer printable gift cards, which is something you can promote even when expidited shipping deadlines have passed. We are in the process of collecting information regarding Advertisers who offer printable gift cards. Please check the Holiday Offers pages for updates.
Use our Tweetshop Tool
With this newly released technology, we make it easy for you to promote products using Twitter. If you are in an Advertiser's program and that Advertiser has a Merchandiser feed, you will be able to send trackable links directly to your Twitter account. Increase your conversions by driving traffic to the page where the customer can buy the product. Access the Tweetshop here.
