Product Development Systems Analyst (New York)

Summary Description:

Responsible for definition, planning, and release of new and existing products. Work with end users and the technology team to translate business needs into functional requirements for development, and to execute training once a product is released.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Technology, Marketing, Services and Sales on all aspects of the Product Development lifecycle.
• Develop product proposals and plans for new products.
• Create detailed product requirement specifications for hand-off to the technology team.
• Define enhancements to existing products. This includes the creation of release notes, feature lists and requirement specifications.
• Provide product training.

Employment Standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• BS degree in computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in Product Development, preferably with e-commerce applications or the on-line marketing applications marketplace.
• Strong communication (oral/written) and analytical skills, as well as a track record in technology requirements specification and product development.
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) including use cases.
• Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Must have strong technical background in a business context.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
• Knowledge of the Application Service Provider industry.
• Familiarity with on-line marketing and affiliate marketing a plus.
• Familiarity with decision support, analytical applications, or CRM a plus.
