Summary:

Under the guidance of the Network Development Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads for high potential distribution partners, and develop initial LinkShare Advertiser partnerships. Manager will be responsible and accountable for selling the LinkShare Network and its performance based advertising opportunities to newly acquired online distribution partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed all sales targets
  • Analyze markets for new business opportunities, generate leads and create new partnerships for the LinkShare Network
  • Lead new partners in the development of LinkShare Advertiser partnerships
  • Negotiate legal agreements
  • Educate partners on the tools available to them through the Network.
  • Fully understand the competitive landscape and work to maintain LinkShare’s top rated position.
  • Present new partners and opportunities to internal clients
  • Represent LinkShare at trade shows, seminars, and other industry events
  • Ability to formulate and present sales presentations
  • Know and understand the full capabilities of the LinkShare Synergy™ software as well as supporting technologies

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years inside or outside sales experience
  • A proven track record of success in a consultative selling environment
  • Experience negotiating contracts and/or agreements
  • Experience in selling marketing or advertising solutions, preferably in the internet or e-commerce space. Experience working with Networks a plus.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills. Experience developing and delivering presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail (and we’re not just saying it!)
  • Understanding of various online marketing related technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com
  • A genuine interest in the Online Marketing space
  • Bachelor degree required

Summary Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Network Development, the NDM will have ultimate responsibility for day-to-day management of their partner portfolio which entails driving revenue growth through new and optimized network partnerships and maintaining partner satisfaction with LinkShare. Through aggressive phone and email outreach, this person will work closely with the partners in their portfolio to maximize LinkShare revenue driven through their available online channels.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute effective partnership sales strategies and tactics
    • Utilize effective phone/email outreach, sales and negotiation skills to create new and optimize existing partnerships within the Network
    • Develop, maintain, and extend relationships with portfolio of online partners
    • Identify and acquire new partners for the Network
    • Manage to 100%+ of sales and revenue goals
    • Know and understand the full capabilities of the LinkShare SynergyTM software and educate partners to use the tools available to them through the software
    • Stay on top of LinkShare's competitive landscape and work to maintain LinkShare's top rated position
    • Achieve the highest levels of partner satisfaction. Retain 100% of partners in portfolio.
    • Ensure partner issues are resolved in a timely manner

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum of 2-4 years partner management experience
    • Strong interest and understanding of the online marketing space
    • A proven track record of success in a consultative selling environment
    • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis of marketing and sales results, including recommendations for strategic and/or tactical changes.
    • Exemplary written and oral communication skills. Experience developing and delivering presentations.
    • Planning and project management skills - setting and meeting aggressive deadlines. Prioritizing and strategizing based on individual and corporate goals.
    • Strong problem solving skills, ability to think creatively and use professional judgment.
